The eastern border of Brooklyn still contains a lot of postindustrial ruins wich make that area quite charming. It is not romantic to the masses, but is romantic for the anitmasses. There you can experience the "Favela Effect", watching the rich Manhattan from poor Brooklyn. Unfortunatelty NYC never stands still, and of course there are already plans to transform that area into an "Feed the rich" Promenade with apartment houses and so on. And of course that will destroy the way Williamsburg is today and of course it is getting much more expensive and of course Donald Trump is envolved.
